Fettuccine Truss Bridge
In this project, Student are required to produce or find a precedent study of a truss bridge in a group of 5 people. This project is required us to design and construct a fettuccine bridge with 750mm clear span and maximum weight of the fettuccine bridge is 200g. the design of the fettuccine bridge is using the information we get from the precedent study. the achievement is to achieve as much as load that the fettuccine bridge can handle until the bridge broke.
In a group of 5, we already tried out 3 different types of bridge to make sure which type of bridge or which type of bridge design can handle more load or the strongest bridge design.

For individual Bridge truss calculation
After go through this project, we actually learn a lot, but in a way of constructing and also to make it more stronger we still need to explore and understand more about the truss theory. after testing the bridge, we also learn about how to identified the tension and compression members in a truss structure.
Project 2
Extension of a R.C Bungalow
In this project, it contents two project which mean one is for individual and one more is for group work.
For Group work - Student are required to obtain a floor plan of maximum 3 storey bungalow, preferably 2 storey. In a group of 8 , we need to find and figure out the structural framing and prepare the structural drawings for the bungalow. Structural plans should include foundation plan, ground floor plan, first floor plan, and also roof plan.
For Individual - in this part , we divided from the group into a subgroup which is 2 people in a group. in this part we are required to propose or design an extension work for the bungalow. after framing the extension by using appropriate structural members, students are required to identify and calculate the load on the structure for example calculate the force of the slab, column and also beam.

After go through this project, i learned the basic process of building structure's design. in this project I've learn how to decide the structures member sizing and also the calculation, and how engineer decide to place the column and beam.
